The Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET) is an integrated set of activities funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) aimed at providing timely, accurate, transparent, and evidence-based food security early warning information and analysis.

Created in 1985 in response to famines in East and West Africa, FEWS NET provides global coverage through a combination of regional and country offices, as well as remote monitoring to identify and publicly report on conditions in the world's most food-insecure countries.

The aim of the presentation is to raise awareness of the work of FEWS NET, as well as the information and tools available to partners in the areas of food safety, markets, and trade.
